LIfe in the Desert
I recently visited Saint-Louis, Senegal. The West African desert meets the ocean here, and it's an arid and dry landscape. But color and life pops out from unexpected places. A conversation between friends behind bright clothes, babies on the backs of their mothers, young friends gathering to talk through windows and doors, and goats - so many goats - in unexpected places. Life is hard for many here, and it's easy to feel the harshness. But people are here. God has left His image scattered in the desert through them. And God is doing something among them.
